Nourishing Massage Domes With Coconut Oil

What Ingredients?

50 g of coconut oil • 50 g of beeswax • 100 g of shea butter • 20 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil

Manual

  • The coconut oil, beeswax and shea butter are melted in a double boiler in a saucepan of water heated to low temperature. Mix gently until a very homogeneous liquid texture is obtained.
  • We remove the double boiler from the pan and add the essential oil ylang-ylang.
  • The preparation is poured into small silicone molds (necessary for easy demoulding), left to harden in the fridge or the freezer.
  • Once the preparation is solid, it is unmolded to discover very smooth domes ready to be massaged directly on the skin.

The Expert’s Opinion

“These domes are very effective in nourishing and soothing dry skin, including cracked ‘crocodile skin, but also heavy legs. The coconut/shea/beeswax combo ensures soft skin; ylang-ylang essential oil boosts venous and lymphatic circulation. We massage from the ankle to the knee. If the domes are kept in the fridge, the relaxing effect is optimized. They are also interesting on the face in dry, devitalized, tired skin, wrinkled complexion. The right frequency and gesture? Once a week in the evening, on clean skin, we massage the wings from the nose to the temples, then the forehead, and from the chin to the cheeks to reshape the face,” explains Dr. Isabelle Gallay.

Energizing Body Oil Based On Coconut Oil

What Ingredients?

50 ml of coconut oil • 15 drops of ravintsara essential oil • 10 drops of lemon essential oil • 5 drops of peppermint essential oil

Manual

  • The jar of coconut oil is placed in hot water to liquefy it.
  • In a measuring glass, measure 50 ml of coconut oil which is then poured into a bottle.
  • It adds essential oils like ravintsara, lemon and peppermint.
  • The bottle is closed again and shaken to mix the preparation well.

The Expert’s Opinion

“Ideal as a refreshing parade after a sports session, in case of heavy legs, feverish state. Antiseptics, antivirals, the essential oils of ravintsara and peppermint fight against fatigue and bring well-being. Use this treatment only in the evening; lemon essential oil, phototoxic, could promote the appearance of spots! To be avoided in pregnant women, because of essential oils”, specifies Dr. Isabelle Gallay.

Regenerating Cream Based On Coconut Oil

15 ml of coconut oil • 30 ml of blueberry hydrosol • 0.15 g of baking soda • 3 g of cutting • 4 drops of rosewood essential oil • 4 drops of vitamin E

Manual

  • In a bowl, mix the coconut oil and cut. In a second bowl, incorporate the baking soda into the blueberry hydrosol.
  • It is made by heating the two bowls in a water bath. We mix the mix of coconut oil and cut to thin it; we remove the two bowls from the bain-marie.
  • It immediately poured the aqueous phase into the oily phase. It beats all with a whisk until the mixture is smooth and well blended. If allowed to cool a few minutes, add the essential oil of rosewood and vitamin e.
  • It is mixed again and transferred into a pot.

The Expert’s Opinion

“Perfect for dry, mature skin. Rosewood essential oil enhances the action of coconut oil to nourish and regenerate tissues. It firms the epidermis, treats wrinkles. To be used in the evening as a relaxing massage until perfect penetration, from the center of the face outwards, then from the décolleté to the neck, with delicate gestures to smooth out the skin”, explains Dr. Isabelle Gallay.
